Chopper was an ordinary reindeer...for the most part anyway. Chopper was born with a blue nose; while that may sound trivial by human standards it caused him to be bullied and treated as an outcast by most of his herd. For the longest time he endured this until he ate a magical fruit known as the "devil fruit" (the human-human fruit to be exact.), upon eating it he gained the posture and intelligence of a human. Unfortunately this caused his herd, even his own parents, to reject him entirely. Saddened Chopper decided to see if the local villagers would take him, but they only saw a monster and too rejected him.
Chopper felt truly alone in the world, with no friends or family he didn't know what to do, that was until he met another outcast by the name of Dr. Hiruluk; who the people of the village considered a quack. He took Chopper in and raised him like a son, Chopper learned many things from him, partially how to treat people and make medicine, (however being a quack it wan't exactly good information, he would learn better later on) but the most important thing he learned from him, was to never give up hope or faith. When Hiruluk died standing up to the tyrant king who ruled over the island they lived, Chopper was taken in by another stern, strict, somewhat mean-spirited, though ultimately good-intentioned, Dr. Kureha. To honer his memory Chopper decided to learn as much as he can about medicine and become the best physician he can possibly be. Since doctors were effectively banned by the tyrant King Wapol, Chopper and Kureha were renegades from the law. Helping the people from in the town in secret and random.
It wasn't until the Straw Hat pirates came did that begin to change. The captain Monkey D. Luffy; instead of rejecting Chopper was absolutely fascinated by him and wanted him to join his crew (ironic considering his first instinct was to eat him). Chopper didn't know what to make of this. Outside of a few exceptions the world he knew hated or feared, but here was someone who did neither. When the Straw Hats learned of the full story and tyranny of Wapol they helped liberate the island kingdom and gave faith to people who desperately needed it. When everything was said and done Luffy still made his offer about joining his crew, and it wasn't just him either most of the crew extended their hands; for the first time since Hiruluk Chopper had been welcomed with friendship. While Chopper was very grateful he was still very conflicted, living with Kureha was the only he'd ever known and to give it up was almost unthinkable to him. After much deliberation Chopper decided to see the world with his new friends. With a tearful goodbye (and a bunch of knives thrown.) Chopper left Kureha to see the world and all it's splendor. On his travels he would learn more about his new friends and the world around him, he would how much they would mean to him and vice-versa, and no matter tough nothing is impossible with a little faith.
Personality:
Chopper is timid and often very naive. He's childish in nature mostly because he doesn't know any better, his overall demeanor can be attributed to mistrust and fear from being rejected over the years. Chopper can sometimes be very open to suggestion, especially from those he trusts; even if sometimes they probably won't do his health any favors. He's often prey to tall tales and lies, even when they're obviously false. Chopper can also be prone to idolizing those who tell of great feats, practically from his good friend Usopp.
Although he's a good doctor and fighter his low self esteem can sometimes make him forget his own abilities, especially in a state of panic. Due to his self esteem, Chopper will take compliments oddly, even though he would be visibly happy and filled with joy about the compliments he receives he will deny it and claim whoever was stupid for saying it, however on his journey's with his friends he gradually loses this behavior and be more comfortable with own skills, not completely though. He is naturally pacifistic and will try to find a peaceful route to a situation if he can, perhaps as a side effect he does have a bit of cowardice in him and will often run away from a fight. But when who ever he cares is in danger he won't second guess to save them, even at the cost of his own life. However he would come to second guess some of his fears later on when he would misjudge some people living on a jungle who he assumed were just savages, reminiscent of when the people of his island assumed he was nothing more than a monster.
He can also be very forgiving to his friends, and will often turn the other cheek, most prominently with one of his closest friends Usopp, who (temporally) had a falling out and left the straw hats and left the crew. When he was separated from his crew, Chopper spent most of time trying to find a way to get back to them. After learning what the captain had planned, and the events that unfolded to him Chopper decided to return to the island he was separated from the get stronger and improve his skills for them.
His ultimate goal to honor Hiruluk's memory and cure every kind of aliment there is, this dream and ideals it carries are very dear to him, will defend them if necessary.
Strengths:
-Being a Zoan type Devil fruit user, Chopper has three basic transformations. His "Brain Point" (His standard bipedal form.), his "Walk Point" (the form of a regular reindeer), and "Heavy Point" ( A bulking human-like form capable of superhuman strength.)
- Being an expert in medicine, Chopper has made pills called "Rumble Balls" capable of giving him even more transformations. (Although for simplicity's sake Chopper will be nerfed to only carry three transformations)
-He can understand and translate animal speak
- Arguably his most useful skill is his knowledge as a physician. He knows about most diseases and aliments and can treat them.
Weaknesses:
-Having eaten the Devil Fruit, he is unable to swim and will likely sink like a rock in a large body of water.
-While Rumble Balls are useful in battle the intake of must be monitored, if there's intake of more than one rumble Chopper cannot control his transformations, which could result in death.
-Very low self esteem.
-Being relatively young, Chopper is very naive and can be taken advantage of and tricked with almost minimal effort.
-While when the going gets tough Chopper can take it, he's also a bit of coward more than happy to run from a fight or danger.
Pony/Animal Type: He's a reindeer. Why? Because in a world full of talking ponies, buffaloes, cows, sheep, and zebras, it wouldn't be that out of place for talking reindeer to be there.

Whoaaaaaaa. So this scroll works just like a Transponder Snail? That's sooooooo cooooooool.
[He looks at it and scratches quickly scratches his head in embarrassment]
Yeah...it's just this is so much to take in all at once, I didn't even some ponies could talk like humans and there are unicorns and flying ponies, I mean I did meet this one horse who could fly, but not like this. This is just sooooooooooo cooooooo-
[He stops again looking embarrassed.]
Right; My name's Tony Tony Chopper and I'm a pirate and a doctor...I'm kinda lost. I've been separated from the rest of my crew and I'm looking for them. So if you see any humans, particularly any with a Straw Hat or loooooooooooooong nose, be sure and tell me. See ya.

Third Person: It was bumpy landing for sure. But after being hit blunt force by one of the "Seven Warlords of the Sea" who wouldn't have had the same experience? Dazed, Chopper got back on his feet looking around, he seemed to be in a forest of some kind.
Chopper spent his early life around forests, not to mention got stuck in a few in his travels. He knows there's always some big monstrous thing just waiting around the corner. Cautiously he picks up hist backpack and marches on. He can't help but shake the feeling he's being watched, hunted even. In a little bit of a panic he picks up speed.
What's that? He hears a twig snap, now's the time to run a little bit faster hoping to escape whatever's following him. He keeps moving hoping to shake this feeling of being prey in this probably ancient and primordial forest. And he hears another crack, this he's sprinting hoping to find a exit out this maze of foliage and trees. He trips falling face first into the dirt, he turns expecting to see to some horrible monster and...it's a bunny. Not even a vicious looking, but an ordinary bunny, Chopper laughs relieved on what he finds, he looks up at the night sky happy, but wait, is that an eye...and teeth? Is that a bear made out of stars!? His relief quickly turns back into panic as he turns into his "Walk point" and runs the hell outta there. With a thunderous roar, the beast begins the chase.
